Terms of service

These Terms govern your use of the MicroInfluence Local website and services. MicroInfluence Local is a local-business digital marketing service offered by MicroInfluence. By using this website or engaging a service, you agree to these Terms. A written quote or project agreement will set out the specific scope and commercial details for your work.

Eligibility and information

You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into an agreement to engage our services. You are responsible for providing accurate, current, and complete information during an enquiry, onboarding, or project.

Services and delivery

Before work starts, your written quote or project agreement will describe the agreed services, deliverables, exclusions, price, and estimated timeline. Timelines begin after any required payment is confirmed and we receive the business information and materials needed for the work. Delays in receiving required materials or third-party decisions may extend the timeline. You authorize us to make only the changes agreed with you.

Google Business Profile services

Google Business Profile is operated by Google. You remain the profile owner and are responsible for the accuracy of your business information. We will not ask for your Google password. Google independently controls verification, approval, ranking, placement, and other platform decisions. We do not guarantee a particular platform outcome or a specific number of customers.

Prices, taxes, and payment

Prices are quoted in Nigerian Naira unless a written quote states otherwise. Applicable taxes and third-party costs will be identified in the quote or invoice. Payment options for a project will be provided directly by MicroInfluence Local and may include Paystack or a verified business bank transfer. Do not make cash payments to unverified personal accounts. The public website does not take card payments.

Intellectual property

Project concepts, code, templates, branding frameworks, and marketing strategies developed by MicroInfluence Local remain our intellectual property until the agreed project fees are paid in full. After full payment, you receive a perpetual licence to use the final deliverables for your business operations. Pre-existing tools and third-party materials remain subject to their owners' rights and licences.

Changes, cancellation, and refunds

Changes to an agreed project may affect its price or timeline. Cancellations and refund requests are handled under our Refund and Cancellation Policy. Nothing in these Terms removes rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Third-party services

A project may depend on Google, Meta, hosting providers, domain registrars, payment providers, or other third parties. Those providers control their own services, decisions, availability, fees, and policies.

Liability and disputes

To the extent permitted by applicable law, our liability for direct loss or damage arising from a service will not exceed the fee paid for that specific service package. We are not responsible for indirect or consequential loss, including lost revenue arising from an independent third-party platform decision. We will first try to resolve a dispute through good-faith discussion. If it remains unresolved after 30 days, it will be submitted to binding arbitration under the Arbitration and Mediation Act of Nigeria. These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Referral programme terms

The MicroInfluence Local Referral Programme is open to individuals aged 18 and over and registered business entities in Nigeria. Approved participants receive a unique referral code. Referral participation is subject to these terms and any written partner agreement that applies to the participant.

Rewards and qualification

Eligible referrals earn a 20% cash reward for a successful conversion of the Local Listing Starter package, equivalent to ₦1,000 per verified paid signup at the current ₦5,000 starting price. Custom website and advanced marketing packages carry a 5% to 10% reward rate, as specified in the partner agreement. A reward becomes payable only after the referred client's payment has been verified, processed, and cleared and the initial onboarding scope has started.

Payouts

Rewards are paid to a verified Nigerian bank account provided by the referral partner after the applicable minimum payout threshold is reached or during a scheduled weekly or monthly payout cycle. Any package-specific reward rate will be confirmed in writing. Rewards are subject to referral validation and may be withheld for prohibited conduct or a reversed or uncompleted client payment.

Programme rules

Self-referrals are prohibited and may result in forfeiture of rewards and termination from the programme. Partners must not use deceptive claims, spam, unsolicited bulk SMS or WhatsApp messages, trademark bidding, or impersonation. MicroInfluence Local may modify, suspend, or end the programme or change reward rates by giving prior notice on this website. Earned and validated rewards from before a change or termination will be honoured.
